My Holiday is Christmas

My favorite Christmas thing to do in Atlanta is to see the Garden Lights at the Botanical Garden. Yes, my face feels numb and my fingers start to hurt because it’s so cold, but I don’t mind. It’s worth it to be transported into a glowing winter wonderland. Seeing the skyscrapers in the background and knowing that all of this is in the middle of a crowded city amazes me.

It’s ironic that this place brings out such strong Christmas emotions in me, because 90% of the decorations aren’t even Christmas related. But between the twinkling lights, the cold weather, curious children, and even the people who wear plush reindeer antlers and Christmas light necklaces, I can’t help but to feel the warm fuzzy feelings of Christmastime.
